Goole Civic Society is appealing to amateur photographers to capture the seasons of Goole.
The society is organising a competition that will culminate in a 2020 calendar promoting the town.
Each month judges will select a winning picture to appear in the calendar, along with runners-up to feature with the winners in a photographic exhibition.
The overall winning photograph will also appear on the front cover of the calendar.
The society is now inviting entries for the months of October and November.
Photographs must have been taken in Goole or Old Goole, with the location identified alongside the name and contact details of the photographer. Images may depict a view of the town or surrounding countryside and wildlife, or an event appropriate to the month.
The chair of Goole Civic Society, Margaret Hicks-Clarke said: “We want the calendar to be a celebration of Goole, showing the town at its best throughout the seasons.”
Entries need to be landscape format and preferably submitted as a jpeg image, although print entries will also be accepted. All entries must be of high print quality.
Electronic entries should be submitted by email to goolecivicsociety@gmail.com and print entries posted to Goole Civic Society, 40 Olive Grove, Goole DN14 5AD. The closing date for October/November entries is Friday, December 14th.
